What I Do

Dr. Katie Connors, psychologist

I strive to make everyone I work with feel supported and understood. I love this work! I'm passionate about women's issues and helping young women unravel complicated thought patterns and relationship dynamics to become the best versions of themselves.

Many of my clients come to my office to work on relationship problems, family issues, personal growth, anxiety, depression, disordered eating, body image issues, sexual assault, social anxiety, and self-esteem
issues. My goal is to help you feel comfortable enough so you can freely explore whatever is on your mind.

I am a feminist-relational therapist at heart, and I integrate evidence-based treatments to address specific problem areas at the pace you are comfortable with. I am trained in Exposure & Response Prevention for OCD through the University of Pennsylvania and I am certified in Family-Based Treatment (FBT) for eating disorders in children, teens and young adults.

Smiling Woman Outdoors

I work with young women who are feeling the pull to talk to someone who just gets it - without judgment, without distractions, and often with some humor.

Whether it's a big thing or a million little things, therapy is your space to unwind your mind and clear out the noise so you can see your path forward more clearly.

We work on what you want to work on at the pace you feel ready to work at. No topic is off limits, too big or too small! And if something comes up that I can't help you with, I will always help you find the best person or resources that can.

support for parents

I help kids, teens, and young adults recover from eating disorders at home as an alternative to going to a residential facility.

This is a great treatment option for families who have flexible enough schedules to devote a few months of time and energy to helping their child recover at home by providing consistent care and mealtime support. It's a big commitment - but one that keeps your kid at home with you.

I also provide consultations to help you decide what type of treatment is needed for your child's recovery if you are unsure of where to start. I'll help you decode their eating behaviors, assess the risks, and provide an outline of your options for moving forward.
